Sophia Bush Marries Grant Hughes in Oklahoma Wedding

Sophia Bush is married!

The One Tree Hill alum has married entrepreneur Grant Hughes in his home state of Oklahoma, nearly a year after the two got engaged, the Tulsa City County Clerk’s Office first told People.

The clerk tells E! News that a marriage license was issued to Bush, 39, and Hughes, 40, on June 8. It was returned to the court, but it was not completed, so the clerk issued a duplicate. They must return the revised license to the court by July 8 for the marriage to be officially legal.

A notice about their wedding was published in the city’s calendar of special events. It stated that 250 people were expected to attend the bash at the Philbrook Museum of Art on June 11.

While the guest list was not made public, earlier this week, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is married to Bush’s former One Tree Hill co-star Hilarie Burton and in 2020 had the bride on as the couple’s guest on their show Friday Night in with the Morgans, was spotted in Tulsa with his former Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles. The actors got tattoos at Colour Studios, as seen in photos posted on the shop’s Instagram page, and also rode scooters together.

Prince William was ‘a little bit scared’ when giving damehood to Sheila Hancock, 89 | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Sheila Hancock has revealed what it was like to receive her damehood from Prince William last November. The Doctor Who actress, 89, said the prince appeared to be “a little bit scared”.

The ceremony took place in Windsor at the end of 2021, having been delayed due to lockdown.

Sheila, who has been an actress for more than 60 years, received the honour for services to drama and charity.

But the modest star joked she was certain they “must have got the wrong person”.

She went on to describe the event as an “enchanting day”.

“Prince William was a little bit scared because he hadn’t done it for two years,” she said.

“But it was all so gentle and friendly, and everybody was treated with respect. I thought it was lovely.”

Sheila added that she loves “a parade, carriages, jewels and all that”, though she feels she ought to be “anti-royal” because she is a “leftie”.

“I think I probably was when I was young, but I’m not now,” she told the Radio Times.

The Cabaret star also opened up on how she stays fit and healthy, ensuring she goes to the gym once or twice a week.

“I go if my shoulders or legs are dodgy. I never know whether it’s just because I’m getting old or I’m having a flare-up,” she admitted.

“But I also injured my back and they discovered an osteoporosy thing, so all told, I’m drugged up to the eyebrows.”

In a recent appearance on The One Show, Sheila confessed she felt she did not deserve the honour of a damehood.

Strictly’s Claudia Winkleman says ‘horrendous’ farewell prompted ‘weird revelation’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman turned 50 back in January. She has now revealed that reaching the milestone age, coupled with a “horrendous” farewell to her eldest son, caused her to reassess her professional life. As a result, she says that she had a “weird revelation”.

Claudia explained: “I’ve basically felt 50 years old since I was 25.

“I love being able to stay in with no guilt, playing bridge and reading, and I love being asleep by 9pm.

“I did have a weird work revelation though.

“I’ve always been pretty risk averse. I thought it was better to keep my head down and just do a little bit

“But now I feel like doing more,” she added in a new interview with Radio Times.

Her new Channel 4 game show, One Question, airs next week and she is currently filming a new BBC competition series called The Traitors.

And on top of this, she hints that she is also “doing something new next year”.

As she takes on more commitments, the mum-of-three continued: “I apologise for all of it in advance.

Speaking on the Postcards From Midlife Podcast in March, Claudia confessed: “I handle it very badly. [Jake] is at university and I felt heartbroken.

“But it’s not fair on him for me to just keep him here with me all the time… He doesn’t want to do that. He wants to be with his friends. Roots and wings and all that, you have to give them both.”

Discussing the day that she dropped her son off, Claudia says she “fell apart”.

She continued: “I remember my mum dropping me off at university and she could not stop crying.

“I said to myself, ‘I won’t do that and I’ll be brave.’ Of course, I fell apart because they’re my life.”

Claudia’s new show, One Question, will air on Channel 4 next Friday.

The series offers a £100,000 prize if contestants can find the one correct answer out of a possible 20.

Watch One Question on Channel 4 on June 24 at 8pm.

‘Don’t care about The Dynasty!’ Vanessa Redgrave’s daughter Joely addresses famous family | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

“When I look back at my sister [the late Natasha Richardson], my cousin [Jemma Redgrave], my mum and dad [Tony Richardson], my grandparents [Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson], I simply feel enormous love.

“I remember once I was in a hotel room with my mum and Linny my aunt [Lynn Redgrave], and it was them with their make-up bags and their travel bags and they were going on a world tour telling their stories, just for humanity and compassion and the love of doing it.

“It wasn’t about being rich and famous. They couldn’t stop themselves. Yes, there is a cut- throat element in showbiz, which has always existed.

“But for my mother, my aunt, my uncle [Corin Redgrave], all of them, well, the fame, the brand and the money were never their motivation,” she added to this week’s Radio Times.

Amber Heard blames libel case loss on Depp’s ‘fantastic’ acting | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The 36-year-old told America’s Today TV show that she was not surprised by this month’s verdict, which resulted in her being ordered to hand over £8.6million in damages to Depp. She insisted she does not blame the jury as she believes they fell for the skills of the 59-year-old star during the six-week trial.

Heard explained: “I’ll put it this way, how could they make a judgment, how could they not come to that conclusion.

“They heard over three weeks of non-stop, relentless testimony. He’s a beloved character, and people feel they know him.

“He’s a fantastic actor. Again, how could they, after listening to three-and-a-half weeks of testimony about how I was an un-credible person – and not to believe a word that came out of my mouth?”

Heard also said she does not “care what one thinks about me or what judgments you want to make about what happened in the privacy of my own home, in my marriage, behind closed doors”.

She added: “I don’t presume the average person should know those things. I don’t take it personally.

“But even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation. You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair.”

The former couple battled in a Virginia court over a 2018 article Heard wrote for The Washington Post in which she argued that she had survived domestic abuse.

She did not name the Pirates Of The Caribbean star, though his lawyers alleged the piece referenced claims she made during their divorce in 2016. Depp denied all allegations of abuse.

A spokesman for Heard said of the TV interview: “Depp’s legal team blanketed the media after the verdict with numerous statements and interviews, and Depp himself did the same on social media.

“Ms Heard intended to respond to what they aggressively did last week. She did so by expressing her thoughts and feelings, much of which she was not allowed to do on the witness stand.”

Depp lost a libel trial in a UK court two years ago that centred around allegations of domestic abuse.

A newspaper claimed he had assaulted Heard and the judge ruled the published claims were “substantially true”.

He was approached last night to comment on Heard’s TV claims.

The interview was teased yesterday in the US but will be shown in full today.

‘Lay off the gin Michaela!’ Chris Packham savages co-star as she skews words on-air | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Chris Packham made a quip at Michaela Strachan’s expense on Monday’s Springwatch when he told her to “lay off the gin”. The naturalist made the comment as the presenting pair introduced the show’s final week of the season.

Michaela said: “As Chris said, it is our final week and Thursday was the end of week two.

“Clearly we got a little tongue-tied because we were making up dates, names, and even inventing species.”

A montage then played that featured some of the presenters’ blunders over the BBC Two series.

They included Chris referring to the year as “2020”, his stepdaughter Megan McCubbin calling a gunpowder shed a “gun ped showder” and Michaela becoming flustered and mistakenly branding a long-tailed tit a “long tit tail”.

Following the montage, Chris hung his head in shame and wiped his brow.

Michaela giggled and said she thought “long tit tail” was a “great name”, to which Chris looked at her disapprovingly.

The 61-year-old then quipped: “How many times have I told you to lay off the gin before the programme?”

Michaela broke into laughter and joked that she had “got a bit carried away”, while mimicking the action of her drinking.

Last week, Megan shocked some viewers when she said: “I love a shag,” as she talked about the appearance of a bird.

Live from Hauxley Nature Reserve, Megan told viewers about a grey heron that was using “precise precision to capture its prey”.

Referring to its appearance, she added: “Look at that, shaking its head.

“And a shag, I do love a shag.”

The innocent comment didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, and some took to social media to share their confusion.

Piklgredlit wrote: “Springwatch at it again. Megan McCubbin declaring how she loves a shag. It’s 8.15pm. Shocking…”

While Geoff joked: “How much was the presenter dared on #springwatch to say, ‘I do love a shag’?”

Jo, however, found the comment hysterical and said: “’I do love a shag’ oh Megan that cracked me up! #springwatch.”

Springwatch airs at 8pm on BBC Two.

Robert Downey Jr ‘FaceTimed’ Johnny Depp to celebrate trial win: ‘Thank God it’s over’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Robert Downey Jr, 57, is said to have called his friend Johnny Depp, 59, to congratulate him on his libel trial victory against Amber Heard, 36. Mr Depp’s friend, actor Josh Richman, revealed the FaceTime conversation during a charity live stream event for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

The conversation is said to have taken place after the verdict was announced earlier this month.

The Iron Man star reportedly told Mr Depp: “John, thank god it’s over.”

Representatives for Mr Downey Jr confirmed to the New York Post that he did indeed FaceTime Mr Depp when he heard the verdict.

It is understood that Mr Depp was in a UK hotel room at the time because he was touring with Jeff Beck.

Josh Richman also revealed that Johnny’s friends and staff cried and screamed around him when they heard the news.

Richman, who starred in Thrashin’ and River’s Edge, added that Jeff Beck also “flipped off” the television screen.

As reported by the aforementioned publication, Richman also claimed the Pirates of the Caribbean star was not planning on asking his ex-girlfriend, Kate Moss, to testify during the trial.

However, the situation changed when Ms Heard mentioned the model’s name during her testimony.

It comes as Amber Heard has given her first televised interview following the verdict.

Speaking to Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s Today show, the Aquaman actress said she “doesn’t blame” the jury, but that social media coverage of herself in comparison to Mr Depp was “unfair”.

Ms Heard said: “I don’t blame them. I actually understand.

“He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor.”

Discussing social media, she continued: “Even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying…

“You still couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation.

“You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair,” the actress insisted.

Chrishell Stause Details Her Supportive Bond With Pal Becca Tilley

Real friendship.

Chrishell Stause is sending love to her longtime friend Becca Tilley—who recently went public with her relationship with Hayley Kiyoko—calling the Bachelor Nation star a total “sweetheart.”

“We kind of met in the same industry and just became quick friends,” she exclusively told E! News at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards on June 12. “Obviously I’ve been a supporter of her privately and now publicly with everything. I just love her.”

Chrishell—who debuted her romance with non-binary musician G-Flip last month—also touched on her and Becca’s strong connection, particularly as the two navigate their same-sex queer relationships in the spotlight.

“She has a really good heart and a really big soul,” she continued. “I think when you meet people like that, in this industry, you do connect. Even though that’s not something I knew we connected on in the beginning, it’s not that surprising to me, because I really see that I think we both care more about things.”

Megan Thee Stallion Is Covered in Diamonds for P-Valley Cameo

P-Valley is getting a certifiably sassy, moody, nasty guest star.

Megan Thee Stallion is set to make an appearance later this season on the STARZ hit drama, which chronicles the lives of employees at The Pynk, a fictional strip club in Mississippi.

While you’ll have to wait to see the Grammy-winning rapper in the flesh, viewers who were paying close attention to the June 12 episode already got a taste. In the episode, DJ Neva Scared (Brandon Gilpin) turned down Lil’ Murda’s (J. Alphonse Nicholson) offer to join the Dirty Dozen tour because he’s working with an artist in Atlanta. Off screen, we hear that artist say “run that beat back for a real bitch.”

The voice belongs to Megan, who also recorded an original song for the show’s second season.

Megan will be playing a character named Tina Snow, according to the network. If the name looks familiar, that’s because Tina Snow is the real-life alter ego of the rapper. She even released album called Tina Snow in 2018 which featured “Big Ole Freak,” Megan’s first song to song to chart on Billboard.
