See Leighton Meester & Adam Brody in The River Wild First Look

No gossip here: Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are teaming up once again on the screen.

In a new first look of their upcoming adventure thriller film The River Wild, the duo, who have been married since 2014—can be seen wearing life vests alongside their co-star Taran Killam. The movie is a reimagining of Uni’s 1994 adventure film of the same name.

Currently in production in Hungary, the reboot follows the story of a brother (Taran) and sister (Leighton) who “love but distrust each other, as they embark on a white-water rafting trip with a small group, including the siblings’ childhood friend (Adam), who turns out to be more dangerous than he appears,” according to a press release. The film will debut on non-theatrical platforms worldwide in 2023 from Universal 1440 Entertainment.

This will be the first film project Leighton and Adam will have worked together on in eight years, after having both starred in 2014‘s Life Partners. Prior to that, the actors also appeared in The Oranges in 2011.

He added, “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”

See Abby De La Rosa’s Post With “Newly Engaged Baby Daddy” Nick Cannon

Abby De La Rosa just added to fuel to the fire when it comes to those theories on whether or not Nick Cannon is engaged.

Abby, who shares 12-month-old twin boys Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Nick, took to Instagram on July 15 with a video of herself and the Wild ‘n Out star on vacation in the Bahamas. In the clip, she and Nick shared a laugh after she dubbed him as her “newly engaged baby daddy.”

However, Abby noted in the caption, “And NO, it’s not with me! Lmaoooo Congratulations Nick!”

Her celebratory post comes just one day after Nick raised eyebrows with a post of his own. On July 14, the 41-year-old shared an image of himself hugging a woman and a close-up picture of a diamond ring.

“I said I would never do it again,” he wrote, “but…Finally doing what the world wants me to do.”

Gentleman Jack Creator Wants to Find the Show a New Home

All hope might not be lost for Gentleman Jack

After the show, a co-production between the BBC and HBO, was canceled by the latter after two seasons on July 8, series creator Sally Wainwright said the news caught her off guard—but that it’s not all bad news.

“It’s been a bit of a surprise really because it’s been doing really well, certainly in this country,” Wainwright told “We were ready to go again, the BBC certainly [is] up for going again.”

Basically, the show needs to find a new global streaming partner, as Wainwright explained, “I think all those other options are being explored at the minute given that there is a desire to go on with it amongst quite a lot of people.”

Wainwright said she remains flummoxed about HBO’s decision—and she’s particularly gutted for the show’s dedicated fandom.

“It’s been a very successful show in all areas for them,” she said. “It’s had fantastic reviews, it’s had a very respectable audience and, on top of that, it’s had an impact on the community of gay women. We have the most extraordinary fanbase, they organize all sorts of events.”

Max Joseph Teases a Potential Return to Catfish

Catfish has taught us to be skeptical about everything—but this news has us cautiously optimistic.

Max Joseph, who co-hosted the first seven seasons of the MTV documentary series with Nev Schulman from 2012 to 2018, is hinting that a return to the show is on the table. When he made the decision to leave, Max was replaced by Kamie Crawford.

“I think they’re holding it down pretty great just the two of them, but it would be nice and I hope to potentially do a trio at some point,” Max told Page Six. “But I can’t really speak to it [now]…It probably would be fun if it did happen.”

Since leaving the show, Max teamed up with Monica Lewinsky to executive produce 15 Minutes of Shame, a 2021 HBO Max documentary about bullying and cancel culture.

Max said fans “occasionally make it known” that they are ready for his Catfish return, but he’s more than happy with the job the show’s new co-host has done since his departure.

Halsey Makes a Case for Getting a Mullet With New Hair Transformation

Halsey‘s new beauty transformation is so good.

The pop star recently debuted a major hair change and equally bold makeup look on Instagram. In fact, the “Bad at Love” singer recreated a popular ’90s trend and gave it a little more rock ‘n’ roll edge.

“return of my mullet,” Halsey’s July 13 Instagram caption read, alongside a video of their fearless new ‘do and beauty style. “And the nineties-vibes-only red and blue makeup combo. made by color mixing eye paints and lip paints.”

That’s right, the 27-year-old ditched their waist-length waves for a short hairstyle that screams “business in the front, party in the back.” (’80s and ’90s babies, this reference is for you!)

Halsey used makeup products from their beauty brand, About Face, to create their fierce look—which entailed bright blue frosty eyeshadow and a burgundy lip. And it comes as no surprise, considering the singer is known for being their own makeup artist.

Meet Who’s Playing Serena’s Superfan on The Handmaid’s Tale

There’s a Serena storm brewing on The Handmaid’s Tale.

With the knowledge that season five of the Hulu drama, premiering September 14, highlights the rise in popularity of Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), we now know she’s getting reinforcements in the form of The Afterparty star Genevieve Angelson.

Angelson will play “Mrs. Wheeler, an affluent Canadian who idolizes Serena and who is a driving force behind the rise of Gilead in Toronto,” according to TVLine

The actress confirmed the news on Twitter July 14, posting a photo of herself in the trademark teal of the commanders’ wives on Handmaid’s, with the caption: “Blessed be the project reveal @HandmaidsOnHulu season 5 sept 14”

Angelson, who will reportedly appear on five episodes during season five, has also appeared on New Amsterdam, This Is Us and Blue Bloods

Following the death of her husband Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) at the hands of June (Elisabeth Moss) and the other handmaids at the end of season four, the new season will feature Serena looking to “raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada,” according to Hulu.

Sounds like she’ll have some support.

The Instagram post, which was shared to the tune of his rock band DNCE‘s song “Got Me Good,” features clips of him and Sophie in bed cuddling together and images from their 2019 Las Vegas wedding.

Coronation Street’s real life couple Sally Carman and Joe Duttine wed in lavish ceremony | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

She said: “I’m obsessed with Christmas, so when Joe said: ‘What’s your favourite time, when would you most like to do it?’ It had to be Christmas.

“We’re going to have the wedding late this afternoon so it will be dark and it will be lit by rows of Christmas trees and twinkly lights; I can’t wait.’

“We should have been getting married this December but we put it off until next year because we didn’t know what the score was going to be Covid-wise.

“We thought it was better safe than sorry, because I would have hated to have arranged it and then not be able to do it properly.”

Coronation Street is on this evening on ITV at 8pm
