‘Vicious cycle’ Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen on ‘invasive’ issue ahead of Clive split | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen, 47, announced she was divorcing her husband Clive, 67, back in June, shocking fans of the farming couple. While they didn’t go into the reason for their split, Amanda has previously spoken of how difficult it was to deal with their sudden fame.

The pair became household names when they started starring on the hit Channel 5 show in 2018, along with their brood of nine children.

Married for 21 years, they share Raven, 21, Reuben, 18, Miles, 15, Edith, 13, Violet, 11, Sidney, ten, Annas, eight, Clemmie, six, and Nancy, five.

As the show was so popular, fans visited Ravenseat Farm to get a glimpse of their idols – something Amanda and Clive found tough to deal with.

“Before, I only had my sheep to answer to. Of course it’s invasive,” she said.

While training to be a shepherdess, she knocked on Clive’s door one night as she was looking for a tup, which is a male sheep.

Faced with the stunning Amanda at his door so late in the night, Clive was taken aback.

“I do remember this six-foot something woman knocked on the door. I was very taken with her. You couldn’t not be,” he said.

Despite their 21-year age gap, love blossomed between the pair.

‘Never talk about him’ Why BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood keeps fiancé’s identity hidden | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Carol Kirkwood has explained why she likes to keep her fiancé’s identity hidden in a resurfaced interview. The BBC Breakfast star candidly discussed her “secret boyfriend” last year, before the pair became engaged back in May.

Carol, 60, has never publicly named her long-term partner, choosing to keep his name a secret.

Last year, while she was promoting her debut romantic novel titled Under A Greek Moon, she spoke about her now-fiancé.

“He’s only a secret boyfriend because I never talk about him,” she began.

“I always feel that through my job, I put myself in the public eye and am very happy, but my partner and my family and my friends haven’t, so I’m hugely respectful of their privacy.

“I just don’t talk about them, other than to say that my partner is drop-dead gorgeous, he’s funny, he makes me very happy.

“He gets up at quarter to three in the morning to make me a cup of tea before going to work – if that’s not romantic, I don’t know what is,” she told PA News Agency.

Back in May, Carol shared the exciting news of her engagement in front of her BBC audience.

She opted for a dramatic reveal live on air and was congratulated by BBC Breakfast colleagues Sally Nugent and Jon Kay as she flashed her ring.

Carol grinned as she looked down at her hand, before replying: “Oh that one, thank you Sal.

“It is rather nice, I got engaged.”

Sally then responded: “Congratulations from all of us, it’s the happiest news, we are so, so delighted, congratulations. Can we confirm to the nation what’s happened?”

Carol then quipped back: “Oh thank you, yes, I think you just have Sal!

“Yes, I got engaged, we got engaged when we were on holiday, so it’s lovely news and we’re both thrilled. So, thank you!”

Carol’s breakout novel Under A Greek Moon tells of a Hollywood actress embroiled in a scandal who returns to the Greek island where she fell in love with an enigmatic tycoon.

Under A Greek Moon can be purchased for £7.99 at Waterstones, Amazon and other retailers.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.

‘Pathetic’ Kaye Adams on lying to daughter about her age, admitting she took off 10 years | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Kaye Adams has admitted lying to her daughter about her age, keeping it hidden until she was 12. The Loose Women presenter, 59, explained that she kept her real age a secret from her daughter Charley, saying that she was 10 years younger than she actually was.

Reflecting on the move, Kaye branded the move “sick”.

The Loose Women star said: “It’s pathetic but I lopped off 10 years and merrily lied away, including a fake date of birth which I had off pat.

“I’m generally an honest person but I’ve always been a good liar and parents lie all the time to little children,” she explained.

Kaye went on to add that at the time she thought it was “funny”, but has since reassessed.

She continued: “At the time I did it without thinking – it’s just a stupid habit you get into and think it’s funny.

“But now when I look back, I think, ‘Oh my God, you were sick’,” she told The Mirror.

The star went on to admit that the last birthday she properly celebrated was when she turned 30, adding that she’s since “avoided” celebrations.

Kaye went onto recall that she broke the news to Charley when she was 12, adding that she was “genuinely disappointed” in her mother upon hearing the news.

Kaye has previously spoken in her podcast about the work dynamic between the panellists on the show, revealing that she and her colleague Jane Moore work with women who are “luvvies”, something they are not really into.

As she approaches 60, Kaye released a new podcast in which she invites guests to offer her help and advice before she reaches the milestone age.

In one of the episodes, Kaye invited her colleague Jane on the show, as well as journalist Karen MacKenzie.

Karen asked Kaye and Jane how they feel being around people who are quite affectionate.

Kaye replied: “It’s a bit about being Scottish. But Funnily enough having worked in England for a long time and with people like Jane, you know, luvvies.

“Jane’s not very luvvy actually, but you know what I mean, Jane.

“We do work with luvvies don’t we? Who are much more touchy-feely.”

Kaye then gave examples of those she works with who are more affectionate than she is used to, including their fellow Loose Women panelist Nadia Sawalha.

“She was wearing gloves and had her glass of iced martini in one hand; when she came to shake my hand her gloves were ringing wet from condensation.

“She was also very funny – she went up to Ant and Dec and said, ‘Do you two work behind the camera?’” Fern recounted to Prima UK

Ant and Dec, whose real names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, are one of the UK’s biggest comedy double acts.

The legendary presenters were named the eighteenth most influential people in British culture in a 2004 poll for the BBC.

Marion, whom the book centres around, was the governess to a young Princess Margaret and Princess Elizabeth.

The once beloved, motherly figure was later shunned by the Royal Family after releasing a book about her time with them.

Marion was socially ostracised following the publication of her book The Little Princesses, and neither the Queen nor any other member of the Royal Family ever spoke to her again.

Neither the Queen, the Queen Mother nor Princess Margaret also sent a wreath to her funeral when she died in 1988 at the age of 78.

The August issue of Prima is on sale from 14th July, on sale now.

It is available in all supermarkets and online at MagsDirect.

The Good Servant, published by HarperCollins, is out now and  available for £14.99 from Waterstones, Amazon and other retailers.

Waterstones says: “From the popular broadcaster and presenter comes a sweeping period novel about the conflict between duty and desire that reimagines the life of Marion Crawford, governess to Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, and the crucial decision she must make that will impact all of their lives.”

Christiane Paul Exits FBI: International Ahead of Season 2

Christiane Paul has turned in her badge.

That’s right, the star of FBI: International, who played Europol agent Katrin Jaeger in season one of the CBS drama, will not return for season two. This isn’t entirely surprising to learn, as the finale showed Paul’s character getting a promotion and saying goodbye to the team.

Her replacement has already been found, however, as Deadline reports that Eva-Jane Willis is joining the cast for the next installment. According to the publication, Willis’ character is a Europol agent with street smarts thanks to her experience undercover. Intriguing, right?

While we’ll miss Paul’s presence on FBI: International, she’s not the first performer to depart a hit series in 2022. For instance, July saw Sex Education stars Tanya Reynolds and Patricia Allison—who played Lily and Ola, respectively—announce their exits ahead of the highly anticipated fourth season.

We’re certainly excited to see what these performers get up to next!

These 25 Secrets About Reese Witherspoon Will Make You Bend & Snap

16. After dating Jake Gyllenhaal, Witherspoon met her current husband, CAA talent agent Jim Toth, at a party in early 2010 where he came to her rescue. “This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me,” she told Elle in 2012. “He was like, [slurring, scowling, pointing finger in her face] ‘You don’t know me.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. I don’t know you!’ Jim came over and said, ‘Please excuse my friend. He’s just broken up with someone.’ Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation. That’s just kind of who he is, a really good person.” They tied the knot at her ranch in Ojai, Calif., in March 2011 and welcomed their son, Tennessee in September 2012.

17. In 2013, Witherspoon and Toth were pulled over by Atlanta PD as Toth was weaving in and out of lanes. As officers were arresting her husband for DUI, she allegedly became irate and started acting up, supposedly asking the officers, “Do you know my name?” When they replied they didn’t need to, she allegedly responded with, “You’re about to find out who I am.” She was arrested for disorderly conduct, later pleading no contest to obstruction.

“Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said,” she said in a statement. “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that was no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I am very sorry for my behavior.”
