Matt Lucas and Piers Morgan praise ‘brave’ Jake Daniels as footballer comes out as gay | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

“But off the pitch, I’ve been hiding the real me and who I really am. I’ve known my whole life that I’m gay, and I now feel that I’m ready to come out and be myself. It’s a step into the unknown being one of the first footballers in this country to reveal my sexuality, but I’ve been inspired by Josh Cavallo, Matt Morton and athletes from other sports, like Tom Daley, to have the courage and determination to drive change.

“In reaching this point, I’ve had some of the best support and advice from my family, my Club, my agent and Stonewall, who have all been incredibly proactive in putting my interests and welfare first. I have also confided in my teammates in the youth team here at Blackpool, and they too have embraced the news and supported my decision to open up and tell people.

“I’ve hated lying my whole life and feeling the need to change to fit in. I want to be a role model myself by doing this. There are people out there in the same space as me that may not feel comfortable revealing their sexuality. I just want to tell them that you don’t have to change who you are or how you should be just to fit in. You being you, and being happy, is what matters most.”

Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Nolan libel case hears of Jamie’s England days | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The comment came during the ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial at London’s High Court, where Vardy is suing Coleen Rooney for libel. Harpreet Robertson, a family liaison officer for the Football Association, gave evidence this afternoon about Rooney’s claim Vardy sat behind Coleen Rooney at a Euros match in 2016 to “boost her public profile”.

Rooney accused Vardy’s account of leaking information from her private Instagram account in October 2019.

During the trial she has argued Vardy “actively wanted to be famous” and heard reports the fellow WAG had sat behind her during a match against Wales.

Vardy claimed during the trial she sat behind the Rooney family as they were sitting in her seats – which Mrs Robertson said in a statement is “simply untrue”.

Mrs Robertson also claimed in the statement that Vardy “grabbed her” at a 2018 World Cup match to complain about her seats.

In her witness statement, Mrs Robertson said: “It appeared that she wanted to be sat in the seats that were right in the eye line of anyone looking at, or photographing, Coleen.

“Indeed, her behaviour during the game suggested to me that her focus was little or nothing to do with the football match. I remember that Becky was constantly on her phone, often taking selfies and generally showing very little interest in the match itself.”

Hugh Tomlinson QC, for Vardy, asked Mrs Robertson today if she “spent her time observing family members at matches”.

Giving evidence, Mrs Robertson said: “It’s not a criticism, it’s a point of fact. I barely watch a match myself because I’m concerned about any issues in the box in front of me, so I sit in the back so I can do that.”

Mrs Robertson said when she entered the stands at the start of the match, Vardy was not sitting in her allocated seats and two of her party were sitting in seats she had reserved for herself and security.

The court heard Vardy’s seats were several rows in front of Rooney and on the opposite side of the section.

She said in her witness statement: “I asked them to move but they refused and were incredibly rude and abusive to me, remarking words to the effect of ‘we can sit where we like, f*** off’.

“An altercation followed which almost reduced me to tears. I soon realised that these people were the guests of Becky

“Becky was sat in the row in front of my seats, and where two of her guests were now sitting, in the row directly behind Coleen and her family, who were sat in the seats that had always been allocated to them.

“Becky could plainly hear what was being said between me and her guests. I recall that Becky’s guests were a man who had a private plane (and his sons), and that Becky would sometimes travel on his private plane.”

Asked how she could remember seating allocations from six years ago, Mrs Roberton told the court: “I remember seating allocations for matches where there are issues.”

She said she did not know if Vardy “deliberately” sat in the seats behind Rooney but said: “In my opinion, at the time and from the information I gathered from my colleagues there were plenty of options for seating. And she chose at that time, in my opinion, to sit in those seats.”

In her statement, Mrs Robertson said the pair again clashed at the 2018 World Cup because Vardy wasn’t happy about her seats.

She said: “At the World Cup 2018 semi-final between England and Croatia, I recall that just before kick-off Becky had once again decided she would not sit in the seats allocated to her.

“All of the category 1 seats are good viewing but I would often rotate the ‘better’ seats to keep things fair and this time it was Becky’s turn to sit further back – by just 8 rows.

“Becky decided to sit a few rows further forward and when I walked past her to my seat, she grabbed me to complain that she was not happy with the seats she had been given.”

Rooney’s brother Joe McLoughlin, who works for sports PR Triple S Group, was also called as a witness for a brief questioning by Mr Tomlinson this afternoon.

He told the court he would sometimes put posts on his sister’s public Instagram account with her permission.

But he said he was “shocked” when Rooney sent him the post about Vardy to publish.

Mr McLoughlin said: “I received the call from Coleen. I just said it was a shock to me and she said ‘I will have to tell you about it but can you just post it’. I was shocked.”

The trial continues.

Louise Minchin’s husband’s warning led to BBC Breakfast exit: ‘You’ll know when it’s over’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Louise Minchin, 53, has revealed her husband, David Minchin’s, words were ringing in her ear just before she made the decision to leave BBC Breakfast. David had warned the star “you’ll know when it’s over”. Last September, she presented the show for the final time alongside her co-host Dan Walker.

It was, she insists, a decision completely unconnected to her recent traumatic stalking experience.

Louise said: “The main reason was the hours. There’s an assumption you get used to them but I never got used to getting up at 3.45am and it wasn’t good for me.

“I loved the role but for years I lived in a cycle of tiredness, having to be incredibly regimented and organised about everything from my social life and bedtime to what I ate.

“Also, it was approaching my 20th anniversary there and I felt it had come to a natural end. My husband had always said, you’ll know when it’s over, and I did.

“I wanted to leave while I still loved the job. It was time for me to say goodbye and get some sleep,” the host told You magazine.

The TV presenter showed off her “rebel behaviour” recently, as she shared a snap of her clock on Instagram at 23.13pm and pointed out she was still “awake”.

Usually, Louise would be in bed long before that time, as she would need to get a good night’s sleep in order to wake up for her daily 3.45am alarm.

However, now she has quit BBC Breakfast, the star is able to be more “rebellious” and stay up late.

Since leaving BBC Breakfast, Louise has been a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and fronted a very personal documentary about stalking for ITV, after she was subjected to a terrifying campaign of stalking from a man who is now behind bars.

She joined Dan and her replacement, Sally Nugent, in the BBC studio last week to talk about HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) after a shortage of the treatment sparked concern.

Louise announced her return on Twitter in the early hours, telling her followers: “Good morning, I am on my way to @BBCBreakfast to talk about the #HRTshortages, have you had issues getting supplies and how does that make you feel?”

Once in the studio, Louise talked about the effect going through menopause had on her, before she could get HRT and opened up about an issue at work that she’d kept hidden at the time.

She told Dan and Sally: saying: “For me, it had a physical impact; I had heart palpitations, I had tinnitus, I had all sorts of things.

“And I’m just going to give you one example of the real impact at work and I’ kinda feel nervous again, as I never told this to anyone at the time.

“I remember the brain fog is very real.

“It was very real for me and I remember sitting where you are Sally and it makes me nervous to tell you.

“I was interviewing the then Chancellor, George Osbourne, and he was outside a JCB factory, so a very important interview on this lovely programme, lots of you watching and I couldn’t say the letters JCB.”

Louise added: “My brains just went into this extraordinary…and I just came off that day thinking, ‘My gosh! What is going on?’

“So these are very real problems; that was my problem at work and other people in different kinds of work have similar issues.”

Amber Heard testifies on Johnny’s claim she left faeces in his bed as she blames their dog | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Amber Heard has responded to ex-husband Johnny Depp’s claim in court that she left “human faecal matter” in their bed. She told the court today that the faeces was left by one of their dogs, having suffered from “bowel control issues” after it got into his stash of marijuana as a puppy.

As the court was shown a photo of the faecal matter in the bed, Amber told her lawyer during direct examination that when she left for Coachella with some friends, the dogs were in the bed.

She claimed one of them, named Boo, was the culprit, having suffered from “bowel control issues” since she ate some of Johnny’s marijuana when she was a puppy.

Earlier on in the trial, Johnny told the court Amber had defecated in his bed.

He claimed it could not have been one of the dogs, because they are very small teacup Yorkies.

Jenkins had told the court Amber had admitted to him that the faeces was a prank that had gone wrong.

In response, Amber told her lawyer she was not in a “pranking mood” at the time, as she was about to divorce her husband.

Johnny is suing Amber for $50million over a 2018 op ed in the Washington Post, in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse.

He claims he was the implied abuser and that it lost him work, including his famous role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

It Cosmetics Lash Blowout Salon Volume Mascara Reviews

A QVC shopper raved, “Say hello to beautiful long voluminous lashes. A little goes a long way. 1 or 2 coats is perfect for a quick look and you’re running out the door, but just a little more and your lashes are huge and full and great for an evening look. The wand gets every single lash perfectly. It feels extremely light and doesn’t weigh my lashes down. Also, as someone who wears contacts this is amazing since it doesn’t flake. Also, no raccoon eyes even with all the humidity in FL.”

Another said, “This mascara makes my thin lashes look thicker, longer and very natural. It doesn’t goop or clump and it has never flaked off. I remove it easily with my purity cleanser.”

“My lashes are so long when I use this product; lasts all day long,” a QVC customer shared.

Someone else reviewed, “So, for decades I have been looking for a mascara that actually curls the eyelashes. I have short eyelashes that grow straight out without an ounce of curl. For decades mascaras have promised to “curl” as well as color, lengthen, and thicken. I have tried dozens of mascaras over the years but this is the ONLY mascara that has ever curled my lashes! No more eyelash curlers needed.”

Julia Fox stuns onlookers as she strips down to bra and pants in PUBLIC on shopping trip | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Passersby could scarcely believe their eyes as actress Julia Fox, who had a fling with Kanye West recently, stripped off almost completely for the trip to buy essentials yesterday. She tied the legs of her jeans together to form a handbag handle, and used the pockets to store her personal belongings.

Julia gave onlookers an eyeful as she strode around in a sporty black lingerie set with a white trim, which she paired with knee high denim boots.

The scantily clad star also donned a loose-fitting denim blazer over the top, in the same faded fabric as her boots, to accessorise her barely-there lingerie look.

Julia was an extraordinary sight as she pushed a shopping trolley packed with carrier bags around Hollywood.

She gave a scandalous new meaning to the term “lounge wear” when she seemed to deem her jeans unnecessary for the shopping trip.

Meanwhile, there has been talk of the 32-year-old joining the cast of Bravo TV show Real Housewives of New York City – although some might say her grocery shopping outfit was anything but typical for the average housewife.

Zara Marke: Zara Phythian of Doctor Strange fame jailed for sex crimes | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Phythian sexually abused a girl together with her husband Victor Marke, a martial arts instructor. The couple were jointly convicted of 14 charges of sexual activity with a child and caged for a total of 22 years today. Both will now sign the sex offenders’ register for life, and will be referred to the disclosure and barring service to prevent them from working with children.

The offences happened before Phythian, 37, became famous for her role as Brunette Zealot in the Marvel 2016 blockbuster, Nottinghamshire Live reports.

She will spend eight years in jail, while her 59-year-old husband was jailed for a total of 14 years on the joint charges along with four separate allegations of indecent assault on another child.

This victim said in a recorded police interview: “I think they saw a vulnerability in me and preyed on that.” What happened was her “deepest, darkest secret”, she told the court in her evidence from behind a curtain in the witness stand.

Phythian, from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and her husband were found guilty by a jury which heard Marke’s indecent assaults on the second victim started after she accidentally touched the pervert’s leg.

He touched her leg back on that occasion, before things progressed to him kissing her on her lips and neck, causing a feeling of confusion, the victim had told police.

He touched her over and under her clothing and kissed her at other times, before he had sex with her when she was 16.

Former Hollywood star Phythian wore her hair in a messy bun, and was dressed in a standard custody-issued grey top and bottoms. She had no make-up on and her face was pale and tear-streaked.

Passing sentence, Judge Mark Watson told the couple that he believed the start of the sexual abuse of the joint victim had been pre-planned.

The judge told Marke of Mavis Avenue, Ravenshead: “I regard you as the driving force behind the abuse.

“Most people have held, and continue to hold you in high esteem. That’s due to the positive impact of your work [as martial arts instructors],” he said.

“Whilst that may help in mitigation, that is also why you were able to groom and corrupt the victims in this case and why you got away abusing them for so long.”
